Happy New Year

I wish all friends a very Happy & Prosperous New Year 2018. I hope the New Year bring happiness, good health, prosperity and mental peace to all of you and your family members.

I also pray to GOD almighty that He keeps me & my wife healthy so that we continue teaching underprivileged children as long as we can. Poor education of our masses is the biggest problem in our country and we are happy that we are to help as much as we can with our advanced age.

We have started teaching at The Government Primary School, Suncity Township, Sector – 54, Gurgaon for the last one month as voluntary teachers. This school is from class 1 to class 5.

The School In-charge has been very kind to allot one room for me and my wife where we take classes from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. We take English & Maths from Monday to Wednesday for classes 5,4 & 3 respectively. Again from Thursday to Saturday we take English & EVS for classes 5,4 & 3 respectively. This way, each student from class 3 to 5 attends 2 English lessons and 1 each of Maths & EVS lesson per week. With an average of 22 students per class, we are able to give quality education to about 66 students in this school. Many of our old students also joined this school after they found us teaching here.

Since we got a fixed room for us, we could cover the window glasses with dark black plastic sheets so that we can use a laptop & projector for our classes. All the children pay apt attention during the class and are enjoying the classes. My wife with her background of being Ex-Principal of DAV School also helps me a lot with the classes in spite of her poor health condition. If for some reason, my wife is not well and we don’t attend the class any day, the children are very unhappy and ask about her health as soon as we reach school next day. They love us so much.

We are really enjoying our quality time with the children. We consider ourselves lucky and thank GOD almighty to give us this wonderful opportunity. We have come to Hyderabad to our younger son during the school winter vacation and given holiday home tasks to all the children.
